Every year, the Library Journal awards stars to libraries based on library visits, circulation, program attendance, public Internet terminal use, and electronic circulation. For the past 10 years, Skidompha Library has been rated at least a 4-star library! Thanks to our patrons for helping us achieve this honor year after year.
In 2008, Skidompha Public Library received the National Medal for Museum and Library Service. This great honor is awarded to libraries that demonstrate extraordinary commitment to public service, exceeding what is expected. We were honored by First Lady, Laura Bush, in a ceremony in Washington D.C.
