Children

Children of all ages have a special place here at Skidompha Library!  Our mission is to match the right book with the right child at the right time to foster a love of reading.

We create and run a variety of thoughtfully developed programs designed to meet the needs and interests of the youth in our community.  Our librarians are truly kids at heart and remember what it is like to be a child!  We channel this feeling into a space that is welcoming, stimulating, educational and fun!  What engages your child?  Our train table?  3D Printer?  A quiet, cozy place to read?  Where else can you check out a sun-scope, Ukulele, or telescope?

Our Children’s Programs include story hours for children ages 0-8, held several mornings a week in our story circle, Books in Motion, LEGO, Literary Lunch, the Summer Reading Program and many other special programs throughout the year.

Summer Programs have begun!

Please visit our calendar to see all of our fun kids programs every Friday this summer, and don’t forget to come in to the library and sign up for the Summer Read!

Library programs are open to the public and free of charge.
