Computers
and Internet Access
The library's four desktop PCs are
configured especially for library
patrons and are equipped with popular software for word
processing, Internet browsing, spreadsheet applications and
other uses. They are available for 30
minutes on a first-come, first served basis by obtaining a
PC pass from the main reservations desk.
Feel free to bring your own laptop to the Library. We have
many quiet places for research and reflection where you
may plug
into one of the 50-plus computer ports available to patrons and
check your email, update your portfolio or find answers to
your questions through online sources. Skidompha is
connected to the Internet
via a high-speed T-1 line. Wireless Internet access
for library visitors has been available since 2003.
Library users who wish to learn how to use computers and
the Internet can arrange for one-on-one training--ask for
details at the front desk.
