  •  Presentations of classic and contemporary movies
  • Foreign Language Classes, Poetry Writing Classes - Chinese, French, Italian, Poetry Writing
  • Free Public Access to Current Technology: WiFi, Copier, Fax Machine 
  • Traveling Books - A partnership with Meals on Wheels that delivers books chosen by the reader to their home.
  • Community Programming (Throughout the year dozens of organizations use Skidompha’s facilities!) including: Miles of Friends, Senior College, Heartwood Regional Theater, Salt Bay Chamberfest, Local Fundraisers for Community Groups, Performance Space, and many more.

SkidKids
  • Toddler Time: Tuesdays at 9:30.  A program of stories, songs, rhymes and movement geared towards ages 2-5 and their caregivers.
  • Book Babies: Wednesdays at 10:00.  A program of stories, songs, rhymes and movement geared towards ages 0-3 and their caregivers.
  • Ready to Read: Thursdays at 10:00: A six-week skill-building program for reader-ready four and five year-olds and their caregivers. 
  • Teen Gaming: Monthly on a Friday from 2:45-4:45. Teens can use the library Wii system and big screen to play games all afternoon. 
  • Teens' Choice Movies on Lincoln Academy Early Release Days.
  • Books in Motion: Monthly.Read the book, talk about it over pizza, and then see the corresponding movie. The first 30 participants receive a free book. 
  • Crafts: Saturdays 9:30-Noon: Crafts are self-serve and are available during the library’s open hours on Saturday.
  • Saturdays, Special Programming: Evil Geniuses:  A hands-on program for budding scientists ages 7-12.   
  • Summer Reading Program: An 8-week program with a different theme every year.  Each summer there are more than 200 participants.
  • And Special Programs added on an ongoing basis!
