Hello friends,
A quick note this week.
The snow looks beautiful as I commute to work. I was fortunate to see an owl perched on a branch. Slightly cliched, but it was stunning to see regardless.
A reminder that we have a fabulous concert coming up on Saturday the 20th! Novel Jazz will be performing a concert commemorating the Winter Solstice. I hope you will drop by and enjoy their music and celebrate the end of darkness and the return of longer days. The concert starts at 7pm and is free, however we humbly suggest you consider bringing a donation to our little food pantry or a cash donation for the library, suggested $20 per person.
And if you prefer to stay cozy at home on the long cold nights, remember that Skidompha offers two digital libraries, Hoopla and The Cloud Library. Both offer access to tens of thousands of E and audio books, video, music, and other content. A great option if the couch is too comfortable, the blanket too warm, and the cat too settled on your lap.
With this first snow, remember to check on your neighbors, family, and friends, and if it is too cold for you it is too cold for your pet.
Be well,
Matthew
