River Company: Literary Salon

Join River Company for its first Literary Salon: an opportunity for all ages to understand a piece of literature through theater.

River Company’s first Literary Salon will focus on the children’s book “The Spiderwick Chronicles: The Field Guide” in support of the partnership between Skidompha Library and Lincoln County Theater’s Stories to Screen series “Mysterious Fun.” Children (and parents) will be encouraged to act out scenes from the book followed by a question/answer discussion about the book.

A limited number of copies of book one in the Spiderwick Chronicles are available first come first serve (one per family please) at the the library and at the screenings. The film “The Spiderwick Chronicles” (PG) will be shown at Lincoln Theater on Saturday, November 2nd at 10 AM.

This Salon will also be Halloween-themed and children and parents are encouraged to come dressed in their Halloween Costumes. There will be fun games, halloween themed refreshments, and dancing.
