From special events to our Teens-only room, Skidompha has a lot to offer young adults.

Young adult Literature

Our YA (Young Adult) collection is located in the atrium of Skidompha along the wall closest to the Children’s Room. We offer a diverse array of fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, periodicals, and dvds, for young adults.

The Skidompha Young Adult book collection encompasses all genres. From Romance to True Crime and everything in between. We strive to have an all inclusive collection that represents all facets of our community. Recently we have started to focus on expanding our Graphic Novel section as we have seen that this is a great way to engage reluctant readers. Our collection also takes into account all reading levels so there is something for everyone. Our Young Adult Fiction section is continuously updated with timely and relevant materials to keep the teens in our community well informed and coming back for more! 

We have a variety of genres available for Young Adult readers. Our collection is located against the side wall of the main Atrium.

Teen Spaces

Our teen room is currently closed. While we were initially closed due to Covid-19 restrictions, we now have exciting plans to create a more user-friendly space for our patrons aged 13-18. Stay tuned for future updates.

Teen Programs

While our programming remains mostly virtual at this time, we’ve been hosting in-person teen chess and craft time outside in the courtyard.
