Adult Programming

We have several groups for adults that meet regularly. Please reach out anytime for more detailed descriptions of these ongoing groups. Check out our Calendar of Events for more upcoming programming!

Weekly Virtual Mindfulness Group
Tuesdays, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Mindfulness meditation can offer the body and mind a chance to settle. Through our practice together, we begin to create the conditions for ease, resilience, and compassion to grow in our lives. Whether you are a long-time practitioner or want to try meditation for the first time, please join Jeannette for weekly and monthly guided meditations. Email Jeannette for the links.

Jeannette is a certified mindfulness teacher and a graduate of Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach’s Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program and the Cloud Sangha Mindfulness Mentor Training program. She has also completed two courses with Mindful Schools. She maintains a personal meditation practice and has been practicing meditation on and off for nearly two decades.

Fiber Arts Club
Tuesdays, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

This casual drop-in group is for anyone with a fiber arts project—be it knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, felting, or any other fiber-based medium—and is open to people of all skill levels. Please note that these gatherings are not workshops, so neither instruction nor materials will be provided. Participants must bring their own supplies.

For more information, please contact Skidompha Library by calling 207-887-0919 or emailing info@skidompha.org.

Weekly Virtual Poetry Group
Fridays, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Join us on Fridays to share a favorite poem—someone else’s or one of your own.

Stay connected, get inspired, take a minute out of your day to hear a few good poems! Please join to share or just to listen.

For more information, or to register, please email Jeannette.
