Genealogy Roundtable: Honoring with Care

“Honoring with Care: Cemeteries from Discovering to Tending,” will be the topic for the Skidompha Genealogy Roundtable gathering on Thursday, June 13 at 1:00pm at the library.
A local cemetery volunteer with 15 years of experience will discuss methods for locating and restoring lost cemeteries, caring for monuments, and maintaining graves.
Whether one owns property surrounding an old cemetery, or is interested in helping to maintain historic cemeteries, or has become the person designated to carry on family traditions for watching over ancestral graves, all will benefit from participating in this Roundtable event.
Skidompha Genealogy volunteers are available Thursday afternoons 1:00-3:00 to assist members of the public with genealogy and local-history questions. The second Thursday of each month is designated for Roundtable gatherings. Everyone is welcome.
