2023.10.05 Upcoming Events

Hello friends,

What a beautiful few days we’ve been having! I’ve been opening all my windows at home and Pumpkin Kitty (Pie, Pie-guy, Punk-A-Munk, Punkalicious, etc…) has been enjoying the fresh air and fall birds and squirrels at the feeder. I find this juxtaposition of warm, gentle sun and colorful leaves enchanting, and a great motivator to go walk outside. I will make certain to refer back to these memories during the dark, gray, and desolate January days in our future.

A few new events to mention…

Donuts and Devices is back on our schedule. Join Molly and Mike this Friday, 10/6 and the following five Fridays for a gentle introduction to technology. The first class starts with the basics of using Windows. Other classes are as follows: MacOs 11 basics, Android basics, iPone basics, Zoom basics, and Cybersecurity. Registration is required, so call us 207-887-0919 to grab a spot.

Also on Friday, we are starting our Adult Game Night. Looking for something to do on a Friday night other than watching Netflix or going to a bar? Join us from 6-9 this Friday, 10/6, and every first Friday of the month to spend time with other adults and play board games. We’ll supply the games–we have a great selection–light snacks, and drinks. You just have to supply…you. Remember, this is for adults only. This is a really nice no-pressure way to meet people and have fun. We hope to see you here!

Join us here at Skidompha for three performances of Woody Guthrie’s American Song, on Saturday, 10/7 at 7:30pm, Saturday 10/14 at 7:30pm, and Sunday 10/15 at 3pm. This show is a celebration of American life, our history, our struggles, and our joys as seen and heard through the eyes and ears of one of America’s greatest folk music treasures, Woody Guthrie. Produced by The River Company, this is a guaranteed good time! Come ready to sing out loud! Tickets at https://rivercompany.ticketspice.com/woody  As part of Skidompha and the River Company’s pursuit to break down boundaries to program attendance, five seats per show will be available for free – simply ask at the ticket desk when you arrive for the show.

Be well,
