A quick update on the interlibrary loan situation. The appeals hearing was held back on June 12th and final written arguments by attorneys were due on June 14th. Per Main State Library,
“From that date, the appeal panel has 15 calendar days to issue a written decision to the Director of the Bureau of General Services. The Director then has 10 calendar days to communicate that decision to MSL and the appellant. The latest we will hear about a decision is July 9th. We hope it will be sooner than that.”
We will keep you informed as we hear more. In the meantime, please remember we have our Hoopla Digital Library available to all card holders (https://www.hoopladigital.com/). Hoopa can be accessed through a downloadable app on your device, and allows access to hundreds of thousands of books, music, graphic novels, movies, and more. All you need to sign up is a Skidompha Library card. We’re here to help you with any technical questions you may have about Hoopla, whether it be how to download the app, signup, or place a hold.
